Terms & Conditions
The ground rules for using this website and for working with our renovation studio.
Please read these terms carefully. By using this website you accept them.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Peaceful Home Stay website and the general basis on which we provide information and services. Project-specific terms are set out in the written scope and agreement we prepare for each renovation.
Use of this website
You may browse, read and share links to this site for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, copy substantial content for commercial purposes or use our name and imagery in a misleading way.
Information on the site
Articles, service descriptions and guidance are provided for general information only. They are not a substitute for a site inspection, a professional assessment or a written quotation. Building conditions vary from home to home, and recommendations may change once we inspect the property.
Enquiries and quotations
- Submitting a form does not create a contract or reserve a start date.
- Quotations are prepared after a consultation and remain valid for the period stated in the document.
- Scopes describe the agreed work; anything not listed is treated as a variation and priced before proceeding.
- Unforeseen conditions found once work begins will be discussed with you before costs are incurred.
Scheduling and site access
We plan work around agreed dates and ask for reasonable access, a usable power and water supply where needed, and safe conditions for our crews. Delays caused by weather, permits, supplier availability or circumstances beyond our control will be communicated promptly and rescheduled in good faith.
Payments
Payment stages, deposits and invoicing terms are set out in your project agreement. Invoices are payable as stated, and work may be paused where accounts are overdue. Financing and warranty options are described separately and remain subject to the terms of the respective provider.
Workmanship and warranty
Workmanship is covered as set out in your written agreement. Manufacturer warranties on materials and equipment pass to you and are honoured by their makers. Warranty coverage does not extend to normal wear, accidental damage, alterations by others or failure to follow the care guidance we provide.
Client responsibilities
- Share accurate information about the property, previous work and known faults.
- Secure valuables and inform us of areas that must be treated with particular care.
- Obtain any consent required from co-owners, tenants or a homeowners association.
- Make selections and approvals within the timelines agreed in the schedule.
Intellectual property
Text, photographs, layout, drawings and branding on this site belong to us or our licensors. Site photographs of your completed project will only be published with your permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Third-party links
This site may link to external websites such as mapping and payment services. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version published here is the one that applies to your use of the site, and continued use means you accept the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
